I founded Artful Psych with a mission to provide art therapy and mental health support through creative workshops, presentations, and social media (Instagram @artfulpsych). Artful Psych intertwines creativity, psychology, and wellness to inspire healing and growth. By bridging psychology and creative expression, we aim to support mental health in a holistic way, helping individuals gain better self-insights and fostering the integration of mind, body, and soul.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Art Therapist, and a holder of a Psychology Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, I’ve been practicing since 2016. My journey has taken me through various settings, including community mental health (Department of Mental Health), school-based programs, hospitals, and group private practices. Currently, I operate my private practice in California, where I work with individuals, couples, and families facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges.
In addition to my clinical work, I’m honored to be an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, where I mentor and supervise MFT Trainees and Associates. I also serve as faculty at The Chicago School in Los Angeles, contributing to the growth of future therapists in the Marriage and Family Therapy Masters and Psychology Doctoral programs
I’m half Armenian and half Egyptian, raised in California—so I’ve navigated cultures where mental health can carry stigma while living in expansive, richly diverse SoCal. That blend keeps me humble and curious rather than assumptive. I pay close attention to migration stories, intergenerational expectations, gender roles, faith/spirituality, and code-switching—honoring family and community while centering your goals. In practice, it means a non-blaming, systemic approach at your pace, with space to integrate what’s culturally meaningful to you.
